Belgium turns out to be a multifaceted place, and it blows Karl’s mind. Modernist meets ultra-west. There are canals that travel across bridges, massive enough to carry serious boats. Belgium has a flair and flavor that weaves together several feelings and cultures — reminiscent of places that shouldn’t go together, but somehow do.
